Events such as the Sachse Fallfest, an annual arts and crafts country fair, draws over 10,000 people from surrounding areas. The Firewheel Outdoor Mall in nearby Garland offers an array of entertainment and retail shops. Major league sporting events, shopping, dining, and entertainment are all just 30 minutes away. The city of Sachse includes its own full-time police and fire departments and is a home-rule city.
